I am creating a short story named Away from Home which is based on my own experiences. The story has a main character which is me, who is heading to college. And to get to my destination, I have to walk for 16 days, and during my journey, I encounter matters, some are good some are sad, some are happy some are scary. And most of the matters that happened during the journey are what happened to me during the past five years of my studying abroad experience and how they affect me as a young adult. I want to create this story because I have experienced a lot of things that many young adults might start experiencing way later in their life, and studying abroad as an international student, having to speak another language everywhere, and blending myself into a brand new culture, teaches me a lot. I would like to put some of my feelings and thoughts in the format of an illustrated storybook.
