The Hyperreality investigates how graphic design can create hyperreality by manipulating signs, symbols, and images. Drawing on the philosophy of simulacra and simulation and the human nature of seeing, the project explores the power of design to shape people's perceptions of reality. The project begins by establishing the fundamental role that vision plays in shaping our understanding of the world. However, the research also highlights the ways in which our past experiences can significantly influence our vision and perception, leading to a potential disconnect between what we see and what is actually present. By assigning meaning to signs, symbols, and images based on our past experiences, we can create a reality that is different from the objective reality that exists. The project delves into the concept of hyperreality, which refers to a state in which the distinction between reality and representation becomes blurred. By creating a hyperreal environment, designers can shape their audience's perceptions and their understanding of the world. Through a combination of research and design work, the project argues that designers have the power to create new and alternative ways of seeing and experiencing the world. The project consists of a booklet that documents the research and analysis of the concept of hyperreality and the human nature of seeing, and three posters that reflect the findings.
